This series is a loose abstract interpretation of hill towns and a nod to that qualities that make them irresistible. The juxtaposition of buildings as they cascade down the rugged slopes evoke a feeling of awe, inspiration and mystery. I use the versatility of acrylic paints - its transparent and opaque quality - to create texture and mood. The watercolor paper lends beautifully to this exploration and the palette knife helps capture their rugged quality.
