| Meet Samantha

I believe that art can inspire, heal and elevate. Growing up in a family of creatives that encouraged artistic expression, I developed a keen interest in art from a young age.

I am deeply fascinated by colors. The rich, vibrant hues of my native country India where color dominates every aspect of daily life, is a strong influence in my art. I am equally drawn to the idea of abstraction. My art can best be described as an exploration of color and abstraction.

I am trained in architecture, urban design, and planning and I am committed to designing sustainable communities.

When I am not painting in my mostly messy home studio or designing environmentally friendly cities, I am pursuing my other passions - flamenco dance, travel and photography.

| Her Art Journey

One of my most vivid childhood memories is of drawing and coloring every day, mostly out of interest but partly due to a fascination with markers, crayons and stationery - an attraction that persists to this day!

My aversion to sewing and embroidery eventually led me to enroll in after-school art classes, which not only provided an opportunity to learn the nuances of painting formally, but also gave me a chance to opt out of craft-related coursework. Here, I was introduced to both watercolors and oils, but was drawn to the latter after being enthralled by the works of the great masters.

Today, my artistic curiosity fuels my experimentation with different artistic styles and paint mediums. My art is inspired by the vivid, bold colors of India as well as the different cultures I have encountered through my travels. I have exhibited my art and photography extensively in galleries having both solo and group shows.
